Munduruku: Fight to Defend the Heart of the Amazon last night won the Alterative Realties Audience Award at Sheffield Doc Fest.
This multi-sensory experience, created in collaboration with Greenpeace and The Feelies, was selected by festival goers as their favourite experience within this year’s Alternative Realties exhibition. It will also go on to tour South America at DocMontevideo, Uruguay, DOCSP, Brazil, and Noviembre Electrónico, Argentina as part of Sheffiled Doc Fest’s Latin American tour which is supported by the British Council. This follows it’s exhibition at Glastonbury festival later this month where the short version of the VR film will screen in the VR dome on Greenpeace’s field and the multi-sensory version will showcase in the press tent.
VR director James Manisty has been at the festival all week and has been interviewed by several outlets including BBC Click.
